Another year finished and yet more changes by your pesky committee. As you may know the Club’s year runs from 1 October to 30 September and we have finally moved away from Entry Central to bring our membership onto Race Nation (“RN”). RN are making further updates to this system so please, if you have any suggestions we’d love to hear them.
You can now register for the 2018 year (1 October 2017 to 30 September 2018) at https://race-nation.com/jersey-triathlon-club-membership-2018 using your Race Nation account. We have kept the annual membership for adults at £50, with a 50% discount for anyone in full time education. Those under 18 at any point during the membership year qualify for the junior price of £25 (whether they are a student or not). Finally, a family ticket at £100 covers up to two adults and up to three juniors (all living at the same address). We would encourage you all to register sooner rather than later as not least only members can vote and attend the AGM (details being finalized but for the time being don’t plan anything for after the 2UP on Sunday 5 November) and we need to start planning next year’s events.
For those registering as an adult, junior or student the process is no different from entering a race. For those buying a family ticket the process is a little different (unless you have registered a team before on RN). A lead entrant will complete their details and pay £100. Once they have paid, they will then be emailed a link to allow them to manage their ‘team’. The team will have four further invites available where they can either enter the email address of say their partner or child OR their own email address. If the former, that person will receive an email with a link to allow them to enter their details (remind them to check JUNK). If the latter the lead entrant will enter the details for the additional entrants (please check your JUNK). If you have any questions or problems please let us know. The process is a little clunky and RN have this as one area to improve, but it does mean we will have a more manageable database of members than we currently have.
